- Implementation project of the second stage of the interior of the Pavle Orszagh Hviezdoslav Gymnasium or the extension of the building of the School of Art Industry in Kežmark is divided into six parts as part of the contract.
The construction work consisted of the restoration and rebuilding of the original gymnasium building and the extension of the new building of the School of Arts industry in Kežmark. After the reconstruction, the south-eastern facade of the gymnasium remains faithful to the historical features of neoclassicism - decorative cornices, arched and richly segmented windows, decorative window sashes, and on the opposite side, an extension created space for the integration of schools - the historic gymnasium and the new building Schools of art industry. The newly created "heart" of the school consists of spaces on the ground floor (foyer, dining room) and "art square" on the 2nd floor, which are connected by a spiral staircase and illuminated by a large skylight.
The project documentation of the interior of the building follows on from the previous documentation for building permit and implementation of the building in question. The documentation in question specifies the design of rooms, equipment and end elements. The reference rooms were also assessed in terms of lighting technology and spatial acoustics. Based on the results of these simulations, the necessary measures were proposed to meet the requirements in terms of valid STN and relevant decrees.
The goal of the project was to create a modern space in harmony with the historical Kežmark for the education of students in conditions that meet the standards of the 21st century.
