• Description:
• The subject of the contract is the Intensification of the Stakčín water treatment plant. The East Slovak water system, for which drinking water is provided by the Stakčín water treatment plant from the Starina Water Reservoir, supplies crucial parts of the districts of Humenné, Snina, Vranov nad Topľou, Prešov, Svidník and Stropkov in the Prešov region, as well as the districts of Michalovce, Trebišov, Košice - city and Košice - surroundings in the Košice region. In 2014, 934,402 inhabitants were supplied from the water supply systems of the East Slovak Water Supply System. In the following years, a substantial intensification of the development of public water supply systems in the territory managed by VVS, a.s. is expected. Košice as a result of the implementation of water management constructions with the help of EU funds. The construction solves the fundamental reconstruction and intensification of the water treatment plant with with the aim of implementing radical changes to the technological equipment, which also require changes in the building structures during the full operation of the work. The Stakčín water treatment plant in question will continue to be operated by Východoslovenská vodárenská spoločnost a.s. Košice - HS VS Starina - Košice, which is authorized to operate a water treatment plant and distribute drinking water.
